Join Alexander Gallas for the launch of the paperback edition of The Thatcherite Offensive: a Neo-Poulantzasian Analysis. Drawing on the theories of Nicos Poulantzas and dissecting internal Conservative Party policy papers, Gallas analyses Thatcherism as a coordinated offensive of the power block, building a new accumulation regime and – crucially – intervening directly in class relations. In sum, class struggle under Thatcherism was not merely a response by those opposing her economic policies; rather, attacking the organised working class was itself the core of the Thatcherite project.
