We are looking to hire a new Editorial Assistant to work remotely on a freelance basis. This job entails all aspects of administration required to keep the journal running. Duties will include responding to emails; distributing HM announcements; supporting all other participants in the publishing process including editors, authors, reviewers and publishers; managing work flow using specialised software and independently handling any issues as they arise. Technical proficiency and an ability to learn new software on the fly is required, as is the ability to work efficiently with little supervision.
Currently 2-3 hours per week, but flexibility is expected.
Excellent written communication in English is required.
Immediate start preferred.
